Class Schedule:
Classes will be held on June 2nd, 4th, 9th & 11th from 3 PM to 6 PM.
(Note: Classes meet four times, on Mondays and Wednesdays.)
Course Description:
This hands-on course is designed for facility workers, property managers, and maintenance personnel who want to gain essential electrical repair skills while ensuring safety in their buildings. Over four interactive sessions, participants will learn how to troubleshoot and fix common electrical issues, perform basic repairs, and recognize when professional help is needed.
Course Topics Include:
✔ Electrical Safety – Understand safety protocols, protective measures, and best practices when working with electricity.
✔ Common Electrical Problems and Repairs – Identify and troubleshoot common wiring and power issues.
✔ Lights – Learn to replace fixtures, troubleshoot wiring problems, and install new lighting.
✔ Exterior Lighting – Work with outdoor lighting solutions to enhance security and aesthetics.
✔ Switches – Diagnose and replace faulty light switches and dimmers.
✔ Knowing When to Call an Electrician – Learn how to recognize electrical problems that require a professional.
✔ Evaluation and Next Steps – Assess your skills and explore additional learning opportunities.
By the end of this course, participants will feel confident handling minor electrical repairs safely and effectively.
